Overview

Science is humankind’s greatest engine of discovery, but even science can get stuck. The Foundations Institute's mission is to accelerate scientific progress by re-evaluating the foundational ideas, models and assumption that lie at the core of the scientific disciplines. TFI cultivates a network of scientists and scholars who identify potentially stale ideas, outdated conceptual models, and problematic assumptions. We then assemble teams to aggressively debate and develop productive ways forward.

Organizes symposia, workshops, and bootcamps in which scholars interrogate bedrock ideas in the sciences.
